Stade de France

The Stade de France is the largest stadium in the country. It has been at the heart of all national and international sporting events organised in France since its inauguration for the 1998 FIFA World Cup. Being the largest modular stadium in the world, it can accommodate up to 80,000 spectators in the stands and up to 96,000 in concert configuration.

Every year, the Stade de France hosts concerts by the most prestigious French and international artists. Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Lady Gaga performed there in 2022, reaching a record number of 10 concerts.  2023 is not to be outdone with the performances Beyoncé, Harry Styles, Depeche Mode, Muse or The Weeknd to reach another record number of 12 concerts. The prestigious French artist Mylène Farmer peformed right after the Olympic Games.

The Stade de France is equipped with a hybrid turf (sand and soil) with a surface area of 8,000 m². It has hosted a record number of exceptional sporting events: the 1998 FIFA World Cup, the 2003 IAAF World Athletics Championships, the 2007 Rugby World Cup, the UEFA Euro 2016 football tournament, the Champions League final in 2022.

The Stade de France is the official venue for the Football and Rugby National French teams. It also welcomes the major finals of the TOP 14 Rugby tournament and of the French Football National Cup.

The Stade de France has welcomed 10 prestigious matches of the Rugby World Cup 2023 and was also at the heart of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2024.
