Tournament Delivery: 2019 Tournaments – Venues

iTurf Management was commissioned by FIFA for the 2019 U20 World Cup in Poland and the 2019 Women's World Cup in France. Its role is to inspect the pitches of the stadiums and training centres and determine the condition and playability of each. We carry out several visits to each site to enable us to diagnose the condition of the pitches and to establish a schedule for the work to be carried out. These visits also allow us to determine where the tournament organiser stands, what his final objective is and, above all, the actions to be taken to achieve it. The more time we have to prepare the tournaments, in agreement with the stakeholders, the better we can guarantee their success.

Inspection visits are conducted up to tournament kick off and throughout the duration of the tournament.  The U20 WC played in Poland in 2019 included a total of 27 individual sites, made up of the 6 host venues and their associated training sites. The 2019 Women's Football World Cup in France included 44 sites with 9 host venues.
